The Center for Genocide-Torture and Liberation War Studies launched a national seminar at BMA auditorium in Khulna on 12 August on the occasion of National Mourning Day titled ‘Bangabandhu: Thoughts of the new generation’. The program presented two essays in two phases. In the first session, Dr. Mahbubur Rahman presented an article titled ‘Bangabandhu’s Thoughts on Education’. Professor Dr. Ashfaq Hossain, Treasurer of Bangladesh Open University, delivered a lecture on the seminar. The session was chaired by Mr. Shamsuzzaman Khan, the then Director General, Bangla Academy, Dhaka. The second session was titled ‘Bangabandhu: Thought of the New Generation’, the paper was presented by Mr. Chowdhury Shahid Kader; Assistant Professor, History Department, Jagannath University, Dhaka. Professor Mesbah Kamal; Professor of History, the University of Dhaka and poet Rabiul Hussain also took part in discussion on the seminar. Dr. Muntassir Mamoon presided over the session.
